Here is how it will work:

Registration: You must register online. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Membership: You must be a current Art League member.

Artwork Submission: You can submit one piece priced at any amount you choose. (Smaller works can be submitted in multiples—details below.)

Important Info: Double-check your title, media, and price before submitting. We cannot make changes at drop-off, this info will be printed on your tag.

Size Limit: Artwork dimensions cannot exceed 50" wide (no length restriction).

Hanging Requirements: All 2D works must be properly wired for hanging (no sawtooth backs). Wires should be positioned no higher than the top of the frame. Please review the Exhibit Guidelines on the Art League website.

Previous Exhibits: Artwork that has been shown before at the Art Place Gallery cannot be submitted.

Multiple Submissions: If you’re submitting smaller works (with a total retail value of $300 or less), you can bring multiple pieces. For example, if your jewelry is priced at $70 each, you can submit up to 4 pieces.

Entering Additional Works: After entering the first piece, you can add more by completing the registration for each piece. Then choose $0 as the package fee.

Commission: Artists will receive 70% of sales, and the Art League will keep 30%.
Drop-off Day:

Please be on time for art drop-off (date listed below). We start hanging immediately.

You can have someone else drop off your artwork if needed.
Gallery Shift:

You must sign up for a 2.5-hour gallery shift. If you cannot make your shift, find a replacement and notify Robyn.

If you’re unable to work due to health reasons, you can contribute by bringing refreshments for the opening reception.
Opening Reception:

Art Place will provide water and paper goods. If you're bringing food, please ensure it’s individual servings for minimal contact.

About the Event:
The Art League of Henderson County announces a call for submissions for the La Vie en Rose' Fine Art Exhibit and Gala. This year, the Marked Tree Vineyard is partnering with The Art League of Henderson County to bring you the annual Wine and Art Gala. The event takes place over three days in June. We are collaborating with the Hendersonville Symphony and Marked Tree Winery. The Fine Art Exhibit will be installed in the brand-new facility on the beautiful grounds of the vineyard. An exclusive ticketed preview "Gala" will take place on Friday, June 13th, from 6 to 9 pm. Gala information will be sent out once accepted and details are finalized.
Before you apply: You will be required to provide the artwork Title, Size, Price, and uploads of images of your work. Payment is required at the time of registration and can be paid by credit card.
Exhibition Requirements:
You must be an Art League Member to apply. Join here!
Each artist may submit up to three pieces of art. The entry fee for up to three pieces of artwork is $40.00 and is non-refundable. Your entry fee does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition.
Artwork must be family-friendly and appropriate for the public. Artwork that does not meet this standard will be rejected.
All artwork must be the sole work and exclusive property of the submitting artist. Your submission must be originally conceived: your own reference, your own drawing, your own concept and must have been self-created. Paintings created in an instructional setting, including but not limited to workshops and art classes, are not eligible.
Maximum size 2-D, including frame: 60” x 60”. 3-D work must hang, be free-standing, or fit on a riser surface. Weight limit is 50 lbs.
Unframed 2-D pieces should be appropriately presented as gallery-wrapped and no staples should be visible.
Artwork MUST arrive dry, wired with D rings and not eye hooks, and ready to hang. No clip frames or sawtooth hangers will be accepted.
All artwork must be available for purchase and priced appropriately. Prices must remain as submitted. ALHC retains a 30% commission for all sales.
Art must remain in the exhibition for the duration of the show, even if sold unless special arrangements are made for out-of-area purchasers.
The artist retains copyright to his/her image(s). However, by submitting to this show, artists agree to ALHC’s use of the images for publicity for event promotions and archival purposes.
The artist agrees to abide by all rules in the prospectus. Submissions of entries and entry fees, which is non-refundable, constitute agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus.
IN ADDITION TO THESE REQUIREMENTS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES BELOW VERY CAREFULLY, ESPECIALLY WHERE THEY RELATE TO NAMING YOUR IMAGES FOR THIS EXHIBITION.
Application Procedures and Details
Jurying will be digital. All applications and artwork image uploads must go through the Art League's system. Artists who encounter technical difficulties can request help from the Art League staff. Questions related to the exhibit can be sent to the Exhibition Director at gallery@artleaguehvl.org.
Digital artwork image files must be titled as follows: (Artist’s) LAST NAME-FIRST NAME-TITLE – for example, Jones-Adam-Water Lilies. Any images uploaded with incorrect titles will not be eligible for jurying. Do not upload images with the numeric numbering system of your camera or cell phone.
Disclaimer
Not All entries will be chosen to display in this exhibit. No refunds will be given if your work is not selected. We reserve the right to refuse any work that does not comply with all specifications or differs greatly from submitted digital images. Your electronically submitted entry form signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated herein, including to use of accepted entries for advertising purposes.
Liability:
ALHC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage during the exhibition or during transportation of the artwork to the venue. ALHC will take all reasonable care of works while the art is in its custody. Artists, if they wish, may make their own insurance arrangements to cover their artwork.

The Art League of Henderson County announces: “Red, White and Blue”
Artists are invited to create artworks with the theme of “Red, White and Blue.“ Apply these patriotic colors at the center of your subjects, however there are no limits to your creativity, your artworks don’t need to be primarily patriotic theme, but viewers should be able to spot the use of recognizable amount of red, white and blue colors.

SPECIFICATIONS:
- Works must be original, 2-D, 3-D, painting, drawing, mixed media, or fine-art photography.
- All submissions must be original human creations; No AI-generated pieces will be accepted.
- They must be appropriately framed and ready to hang with wire hangers (no sawtooth hangers can be accepted).
- Maximum size for this show (including frame) is 40"x40”. Three-dimensional work must be no taller than 15”.
- All works must be appropriately identified on the back with the artist’s name and contact information, and the title of the work.
- Works may be available for sale by the artist but MUST REMAIN IN THE EXHIBIT FOR THE DURATION OF THE SHOW. NO EARLY PICK-UP. Neither the library nor its staff will have any responsibility regarding sales. If a sale is made, the artist must contact the Exhibit Committee Chair for instructions.
- To indicate that a piece is Available for Purchase, select “Yes” option on the registration form. No exact prices can be listed.
- You have an option to upload a photo of your artwork on the last step of the registration, but it is not required, images will be used on the Art League website and for PR purposes.
ENTRY PROCESS:
- DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATIONS is June 23, 2025. All registration must be submitted electronically. Exhibiting artists will submit a completed registration form through the ALHC website < -- REGISTRATION FORM (CLICK HERE) -- >. The online registration form also contains the Art League's electronically signed waiver of liability. No paper registrations will be accepted. Artwork will be accepted on a first come basis until available space is filled.
- Exhibiting artists must complete the LIBRARY'S ART WALL RELEASE FORM and turn it in at take-in.
