Join us every other Thursday for an awesome Art Club class with Mrs. Royalty! Each week our students will broaden their artistic horizons by utilizing various mediums, materials, and processes! Students will be exploring, experimenting, and discovering the best parts about being an artist themselves!

March 12: The days are steadily getting longer, so students will be studying and exploring Light and Shadow this week. Students will choose between three methods to complete this piece: water-resistant watercolor technique, color pencil medium, or crayon medium. They will also be utilizing their observation and spatial skills to create this abstract piece!

March 26: We are so close to spring. So, why don’t we just spring into it a little earlier? Students will be creating pieces inspired by a Spring farm animal today! They will be using their beginner charcoal skills, but they will learn a couple of new techniques to help them complete their art pieces.

**Please be aware that charcoal can get very messy. If you can, please send your student with a large old T-shirt to wear over their regular clothes.**

Can’t join us for every class? That is okay! We would love to see you for every class, but you can sign up for a preferred class or all three classes. Each class is $20 for Members and $25 for Non-Members. There are only 10 spots per class, so register now to claim your spot!
We can all learn, create, and grow together in the Royal Art Club! I can’t wait to see y’all there!

Parents can either stay or drop off, either is fine!

Date: 5/21/2026
Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Member: $20 per class  Non-Member: $25 per class

Join us every other Thursday for an awesome Art Club class with Mrs. Royalty! Each week our students will broaden their artistic horizons by utilizing various mediums, materials, and processes! Students will be exploring, experimenting, and discovering the best parts about being an artist themselves!

May 7: If you have ever played a search and find game, then you are going to love our created art pieces for today! Students will be creating a 2D art piece that takes place in the dark. But, never fear! We will be making a flashlight to help us see through our scenes! Students will learn a technique that utilizes light and dark in a creative and fun way. They will be practicing their drawing, as well as, designing skills to create the scene for their art pieces. They can even make their scenes into a search and find, if they like!

May 21: Have you ever thought about the process of printmaking? There are several types and techniques for printmaking, but it all begins with the transferal of a created design. Today, students will learn the beginning process of printmaking by practicing two types of transfer techniques. Each technique is an easy, visual, first step to the world of printmaking! Students will be using washable markers and oil pastels to complete these transfer processes.

**Please know that oil pastels can get a little messy. If you are able, please send your student with a large old T-shirt to wear over their regular clothes**

Students will design and paint their own 3D bird out of model magic and tempura paints. Students will also easily create a 3D nest for their bird to live in. These birds can either be real or completely imagined up by our students! Can’t wait to see what kind of bird they create!
