This workshop, led by Pat Morgan, will focus on painting in oils using water soluble oil paints. The effect is the same but without strong odors from terps etc, using soap and water cleanup. Design principles, color mixing, brushwork and some palette knife techniques will be demonstrated in landscapes and florals.
Some painting skills are REQUIRED even if in other mediums.
Supply List will be provided.
Member Fee: $125. Non-members: $140. Please note that this 2-day class is sold as a "package" for both days. Students are not able to purchase a single day as the 2nd day's class builds upon the preceding class.
About the Instructor/Artist: Pat has been painting and teaching for many years in New York, New Jersey and now in Western North Carolina. Her demonstrations focus on capturing just the essence of her subjects whether in figures, flowers or landscapes. She has received several local and regional awards and is a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society, Audubon Artists, Inc. and a former elected member of the NJ Water Color Society and the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
