Artist Bio:
Miriam Hughes is a watercolor artist and teacher who believes art should be joyful, spontaneous, and full of surprises. After a first career as a medical illustrator (where precision ruled), she now delights in bold colors, playful techniques, and helping others loosen up with paint and ink. Her workshops blend practical skills—like mixing colors, designing layouts, and adding pen flair—with a sense of fun that encourages everyone to explore their own creative spark. When she’s not teaching or painting, Miriam can often be found in the woods with her rescue dogs or experimenting with new artistic “what nows.” Participants of all levels thrive in Miriam's workshops.
