About the Class:
Make striking blue art with flowers and sunlight. Cyanotype is a Victorian form of photography and one of the most accessible photographic processes. No fancy equipment required as all materials will be provided – from hand painted light sensitive paper, to access to a large pressed flower collection and natural sunlight.
This workshop is great for absolute beginners or seasoned artists who want to explore something new – you will leave you feeling closer to nature and an expert in making sun prints.
Inspired from the teachings of Robin Wall Kimmerer, the class will have a brief discussion on plants that are significant to them. Daisy will introduce the fascinating process of cyanotype and do a demonstration print. Participants then get to print five postcard size pieces cyanotype paper. Everyone leaves with 5 beautiful prints. Cyanotype is where art meets science and great for adults and children.
You don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Supplies: All supplies will be provided, but if you want you can bring in your own flowers, stencils or photo negatives.
