Class date: July 11, 18, 25, and Aug 1 at 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Fee: Member: $140.00, Non-member: $155.00
Maximum class size is 10
This class is open to a students that previously have taken Marcia's Watercolor Basics Part #1 or previous experience and ready to step up to learning some of the next level essential building blocks of painting. The class will cover, value sketches, composition, reflections, shadows, repetition and alternation.
Supplies: Supply list is the same as prior class.
About the Instructor: Marcia is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She attended Pratt Institute Saturday Art School all through high school, attained a BFA degree at Parsons School of Design/New School specializing in Graphic Design, Packaging and Photography. For over 35 years, her career was devoted to consumer package design, corporate design, and business management for consumer products. She was responsible for designing, managing, directing quality control and print production for several major consumer branded companies.
Upon retiring, Marcia returned to her passion painting, sketching and teaching. Marcia attained, local, regional and international award winning status. She chaired several art committees. She is passionate about all subjects she paints by capturing the excitement of everyday life using vibrant colors, form and design of places she has visited. Her work has exhibited in several galleries, local venues and private collections all over the world.
Since moving to Hendersonville, North Carolina, Marcia continues to teach for art organizations and privately, volunteers, is in critique groups, exhibits her work all over the state and involved in local art organizations like NCWS, TPS in Tryon, Art League in Hendersonville, accepted three times for Artscape banners and Connestee Art League.
