Class Dates: August 22-23. Time: 9:30 am to 1:00pm (2-day class sold as a package)
Fee: Member: $125. Non-Member: $140
Maximum Class Size: 8
Pat paints in a loose sensitive style to create luminous watercolors to capture "just the essence" of her subjects. For these two days, we will focus on gestures, skin tones, hair and folds in clothing. Painting techniques of brushstrokes, softening edges and design will be discussed at the beginning of each session. Please bring your own "simple" photos to work from and consider doing your drawings at home so you have more time to paint. Demonstrations will be in watercolor.
Supplies: A supply list will be sent to each registered student prior to class. Sample photos of figures are provided. A lightbox for tracing gestures will be available.
Experience: Figures can be difficult at the beginning. Previous painting experience in watercolor or acrylic are necessary.

Her demonstrations focus on capturing just the essence of her subjects whether in figures, flowers or landscapes. She has received several local and regional awards and is a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society, Audubon Artists, Inc. and a former elected member of the NJ Watercolor Society and the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
