We will use simple paper folding to create expandable star or snowflake ornaments that can be mailed and hung on your tree! You don't need to bring a thing except close up glasses if you need them. This is a multi-generation class perfect for kids from 10 up. Get ready for the holidays and give yourselves some time to create more before the Yule season!

Artist Bio:
Kate Stockman has been creating art of some kind or another for most of her life (since those pasta necklaces in kindergarten!). Springing from her passion for combining color and texture, she has been creating multi-media art – including unique jewelry and hand-crafted books – for over 30 years.

Kate creates to honor Nature and the Self. She designs one-of-a-kind TouchStones Anecdotal Art (each piece has a story; perhaps it touches your story) including her assemblage jewelry which blends vintage and antique sterling components, semi-precious stones, and handmade lamp work glass beads into remarkable combinations which she calls “Re-Imagined Heirlooms”.

Kate is also a bookbinder and relishes creating journals (which she calls “Treasures Re-Covered”) boasting covers from antique and vintage books that have been hidden away in an attic or is headed for the recycle bin.

Kate is a teacher and cherishes designing playshops (we’re not working, so why call them workshops?) that encourage creativity in a safe setting. Many of her playshop participants lament “I don’t have a creative bone in my body!” and Kate cherishes seeing the expressions of joyful pride and surprise on their faces after they have had the time to just play – mingling supplies with their imaginations.
