Figure Drawing Salon - April
Facilitator: Julia Thomson
Class Date: 4/27/23, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Fee: Members $20, Non-members $25
Figure drawing & painting with mixed media. All levels welcome, no experience necessary (instruction is available if desired).
Join us for a Figure Drawing Salon every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month. This is a great opportunity for artists of all levels to come work on whatever best serves their practice; whether it's your first time trying your hand at figure drawing and you're looking for where to start, sketching to stay loose, sharpening your drawing-from-observation skills, or working on a completed portrait painting- we've got you covered! We provide the nude model in a professional art setting, you supply your own art materials, and BYO snacks/drinks. A limited selection of supplies can be provided for a small additional fee.
Those participating in drawing with a live nude model must be 18 years of age or older.
Seating is limited and as a result no registration can occur at the door.
The session runs for two hours and is structured loosely as follows (with breaks in between):
- 5 minutes of slow continuous movement.
- (5) 1 minute poses.
- (3) 15 minute poses.
- (2) 20 minute poses, in the same position.
