Take a break from the everyday and spend a few hours relaxing, creating, and having fun with mixed media art. In this hands-on class, you’ll transform small wooden boxes into playful Halloween-inspired treasures using layered papers, paint, and a variety of simple techniques. No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a love for making.
We’ll provide all the supplies, from colorful papers and paints to the little finishing touches that make each box unique. Along the way, you’ll discover how creative play can reduce stress, spark joy, and open the door to your imagination. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art that you can keep for yourself or gift to someone special.
This workshop is all about relaxing, exploring, and celebrating the fun of handmade art. Come create your own spooky little keepsake!
All supplies will be provided
Artist Bio:
I am a mixed media and collage artist who finds joy in transforming simple materials into meaningful works of art. For me, art is both a motivation and an emotional reset—when my hands are busy creating, my mind is free from worry and stress. My practice is rooted in the belief that things don’t have to be perfect to be enjoyable; the act of making is just as valuable as the finished piece.
Before moving to Etowah, North Carolina, I exhibited my art in several galleries in Florida and taught community art classes in Florida, where I discovered the power of shared creativity. Working alongside others, I saw how making together fosters connection, sparks imagination, and grounds us in the rhythms of everyday life.
Whether through layered collage, painted papers, or mixed media explorations, my work is an invitation to slow down, play, and see possibility in the materials around us. I continue to explore and teach with the hope of inspiring others to use their own creativity as a way to reset, recharge, and connect.
