Feeling the call to explore fiber art as an intuitive spiritual practice? This class will be a guide to explore the parts of yourself that are connected
to a universal thread. Join us as we create a sacred scroll using intuitive slow stitching, fabric, painting, texture, foraged treasure, and embellishments. This class is all hands-on and gently guided to support you in connecting to your own creative voice with somatic and meditative practices.
Beginner

Artist Bio:
Michele Rabinowitz is passionate about fiber, textiles, and the connection of story, place, and community. She is a self-taught artist who began nine years ago when she decided to buy a canvas and some paint, having never painted before. Her life began to change in ways she could never have imagined. She brings a combination of expressive art, gained through her training at the Florida Institute of Expressive Arts, and her 30 years of experience in the healing arts as a therapist. Her intention is always to be a guide for others to connect to their own innate creativity. Michele loves the freedom of working with fiber and the incredible ways to create. She dabbles in all mediums from painting to pottery to dyeing her own fabric with food scraps and rust. Everything she creates is from a place of not knowing, to allow herself to be lead by curiosity and creative expression. Her work has been shown in several galleries, cafes, and exhibits. Michele was participating and selling her art and fiber work in various art shows in Maine prior to relocating to NC.
