Led by Miriam, you’ll learn the secrets of creating stunning landscapes, whether dreamy and abstract or crisp and realistic. Watch your vision come to life as you master composition, color, and texture on a scale that’s both intimate and powerful.
And the best part? Each participant will receive a gorgeous, classic frame to showcase their artwork—ready to dazzle at home or even be featured in the monthly Art League Gallery Show!

Artist Bio:
Miriam Hughes is an artist, illustrator, and passionate educator dedicated to helping others unlock their creative potential. With a background in medical illustration and a career spanning multiple artistic disciplines, she now focuses on expressive and intuitive watercolor techniques. Known for her playful approach to color and deep understanding of artistic fundamentals, Miriam inspires students to experiment fearlessly while building strong technical foundations.
As a workshop instructor, Miriam brings warmth, humor, and experience to the classroom. She believes that creativity is for everyone and encourages exploration without judgment. Whether teaching watercolor, ink techniques, or mixed media, she aims to help students see the world in new ways and develop confidence in their artistic voice.
You’ll likely find her sketching outdoors or wandering the woods with her beloved pack of dogs when she's not painting or teaching.
