About the Class: In this MULTI-GENERATION playshop, we'll create beautiful ornaments that can be mailed but won't break! Because they're paper. These ornaments are actually pop-up books you can hang on a tree or in a window or gift (hostess gifts, birthday gifts, etc). Kate will supply all materials for 3 star/snowflake ornament books. You will leave with the ability to make mini-suns for summer, leaves for autumn, flowers for spring. The only limit is your imagination! Bring your own scissors, please.
Eagerness to play and to learn. Humor is always welcome. *Families are encouraged to come and play together. Children 7 and up. Please no children under 7 as the folding technique may be too difficult for them.* Pricing reflects several options. Supplies: All supplies will be provided.
Artist Bio: Kate Stockman relishes creating and teaching and is happiest when she is doing both at the same time! She is a bookbinder as well as an assemblage jewelry artist and collage/paper artist. She and her wood-turner husband Andrew live outside of Saluda in a little cabin in the woods. She is grateful.
