About the Class: In this class we will discuss some of the basic principles of Abstract painting and then you will create an abstract piece of your own. I will show how to take a reference photo to come up with your abstract concept. I do ask that you bring a reference photo that inspires you it can be a landscape, door, building, etc... but it should speak to you. The first day of class is discussion, prepping background, and plotting out your composition. Second day we will add layers and build your composition. All materials provided.. About the Artist: Charlotte Horton is a mixed media artist known for her experimental and multilayered approach to art. She enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques, often incorporating unexpected materials into her work. She likes to push her materials and discover new ways to use them.
