About the Class: Ever wondered what Assemblage is? At it's most basic it is 3D pieces attached to your substrate or 3D collage. Come learn about this fun and exciting art form. In this class we will explore how to create, assemble, and finish an assemblage work of art. I will be bringing a wide variety of found items for you to go through, but feel free to bring your own to play with or trade. Feel free to bring a piece that you are working on or start something new. I will be providing one 11" x 14" substrate for you to work on, but feel free to bring a substrate that speaks to you. Some ideas are animal statue (porous not glossy), styrofoam shape, old wall piece, painting that never felt finished, etc... All skill levels are welcomed.
Do you provide all supplies for the class or do you provide a supply list for students? I will be providing one 11" x 14" substrate for you to work on, but feel free to bring a substrate that speaks to you. Some ideas are animal statue (porous not glossy), styrofoam shape, old wall piece, painting that never felt finished, etc... I will also provide a wide variety of found objects, papers, paint for your use. If you have items that you would like to bring or share that is great. I will also supply different types of glue, and attachment hardware.
