About the Class: SoulCollage® and Journaling based on The Golden Ratio
In this workshop we will be making intuitive SoulCollage® cards while also taking time for reflective and insightful journaling - all based on the golden ratio. As described by Artsper Magazine, "In art, the golden ratio creates a balanced relationship that the mind's eye loves." It's also a mathematical formula, but we won't be doing math here! Let's go back to the mind and balance... Found in nature and in art, the golden ratio offers an unfolding pattern of beauty that can also be applied to the self when we look within to our greatest wisdom. All collage materials will be provided. Please bring your journal and favorite pen!All other materials provided.
Artist Bio: Ann Douglas Pinckney is adventurous, creative and has been trained in Photography, Jewelry Design and Mixed Media Collage. A student of the Fine Arts Center, Greenville, SC and a BFA from Winthrop University, Pinckney teaches, and shows in numerous galleries in South and North Carolina. Recently Ann Douglas completed training to become a SoulCollage® Facilitator. Her designs are inspired by traditional motifs, creating balance, combining techniques to create pieces that are both artful and wearable. She believes that art has the power to evoke emotions, provoke thought and promote empathy while revealing the extraordinary with the ordinary.
