About the Class: Join artist Miriam Hughes for a transformative two-hour workshop exploring the art of contour and blind contour drawing. In this hands-on experience, participants will discover the profound impact of truly observing their subjects and translating what they see onto paper.
Through engaging exercises, you will learn to see beyond the outlines of objects and delve into the intricacies of form, shape, and space. Starting with simple objects and gradually progressing to more complex subjects, you will develop observational skills and artistic intuition.
Contour drawing teaches us to slow down, observe, and capture the essence of what we see with a single, continuous line. Blind contour drawing takes this practice further, challenging us to trust our instincts and hand-eye coordination without looking at the paper.

Miriam Hughes is a former medical illustrator and a watercolor painter with years of experience but, fortunately, the ability to understand we never stop learning.Creating relaxed and fun learning environments feeds Miriam's passion for teaching.
