About the Class: Introduction to wheel thrown pottery! There will be two wheels so classes will be limited to 2 students until we get more wheels. Students will be given demonstration and hands-on instruction. Students will learn the basics of clay including: wedging, centering, throwing a cylinder, throwing a bowl, and exploring other forms when they are ready. Classes are every Wednesday morning, so sign up for when you can come and pick up where you left off. All supplies and materials are included.
Supplies: All Supplies are provided. Wear old clothes you can get messy or bring an apron. Leave your rings and watches at home.
Artist Bio: I am a native of WNC and grew up creating from a young age. I have a B.A. in Studio Art from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. I am inspired by nature, color, and pattern I see in the world around me. I enjoy pottery, painting, printmaking, fiber arts, and mixed media.
