About the Class: Learn how to create a Star Ornament Book, which folds flat (and can be mailed) and opens into a honeycomb-type star! It's all in the clever paper folding, and it's all fun. The instructor will supply all materials and instruction and each participant is able to create up to 3 ornaments and will leave with the knowledge to create many more. Bring your own scissors, please. This is also a great multi-generational playshop (children 8 or over, please) and a lovely way to create an annual tradition of crafting ornaments for parents/grandparents!
Supplies: All supplies will be provided by the instructor except scissors! Please byo.
Experience: All skill levels are welcome.
About the Instructor/Artist: Local multi-media assemblage artist Kate Stockman is a bookbinder and jewelry artist. She relishes designing and teaching fun, hands-on playshops. Kate's art focuses on creating "Re-Imagined Heirloom" jewelry that utilizes antique and vintage sterling silver components. Her "Treasures Re-Covered" journals boast antique leather book covers saved from the recycle bin and proudly displayed again. Kate is also the facilitator of the Collage Playshop that meets at the Art Place on the third Sunday afternoon of each month.
