Fee: Members: $25, Non-members: $40 per session
Maximum Class Size: 15
About the Class: During this fun, hands-on playshop, we'll learn all about those blessed bees, hive culture, etc. (where DOES beeswax come from?!?) and then create hand-rolled beeswax candles. Each participant will create one candle and will leave with resources and ability to create more. This is a great multi-generation class (no one younger than 10, please) and the candles are great for gift-giving!
Supplies: All supplies will be provided by the instructor.
Experience: All skill levels are welcome.
About the Instructor/Artist: Local multi-media assemblage artist Kate Stockman creates art to honor Nature and the Self. She relishes designing and teaching Nature-and Spirit-oriented playshops. She is also the facilitator of the Collage Playshop that meets at the Art Place on the third Sunday afternoon of each month. Kate's art focuses on creating "Re-Imagined Heirloom" jewelry that utilize antique and vintage sterling silver components. Her "Treasures Re-Covered" journals boast antique leather book covers saved from the recycle bin and proudly displayed again.
