About the Class: Join Charlotte Horton for this two-day class to learn the basics of cold wax and oil paint. Feel free to bring a lunch and eat during the first half hour of class. During that 30 min. I will be talking about what cold wax is, what you can do with it, and what you can not do with it. We will also talk about the importance of a rigid substrate. The rest of the first day we will be laying down color using different techniques. The second day I will spend the first 30 min. discussing different ways to continue your pieces and the rest of the day will be devoted to finishing your pieces.

Supplies: All supplies are included.

Experience: All skill levels are welcome.

About the Instructor/Artist: Charlotte Horton is a mixed media artist known for her experimental and multilayered approach to art. She enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques, often incorporating unexpected materials into her work. She likes to push her materials and discover new ways to use them. Charlotte is also known for including subtle, hidden elements within her pieces, inviting the viewer to look closer and discover new meanings and interpretations. Charlotte's work is a reflection of her curiosity and desire to explore the world around her. With a keen eye for detail and a playful spirit, this artist's work is both visually striking and thought-provoking, encouraging the viewer to engage with the piece in a deeper and more meaningful way.
