"Orange is the New..." Library Exhibit
All subjects/mediums are accepted (with a recognizable amount of orange!). Works need not be primarily orange, but viewers should be able to spot the use of some part of the orange spectrum. 2-D and 3-D work will be accepted. Maximum size is 36" x 40” for 2-D work and 15” tall x 5” deep for 3-D works.
To exhibit, artists must complete a registration form at the ALHC website, www.artleaguehvl.org prior to the closing date of September 22, 2023. Each artist is limited to one work.
Take-in is Friday, September 29, 2023, 10:30am - 12:00pm at the Main Branch of the Henderson County Library, 301 N. Washington St., Hendersonville, 28739. Exhibiting artists must complete a Library Art Wall Release Form and turn it in at take-in.
The exhibit will close on January 5, 2024. All works are to be picked up between 11:00am - 12:00om on that day. Art works may not be removed early. On an individual basis, delayed pick-up may be arranged by contacting the Exhibit Committee Chair (Norie Sanchez
noriequilts@gmail.com 704-576-1667).
Works must be original, 2-D or 3-D oil, acrylic, watercolor or mixed media. They must be appropriately framed and ready to hang with wire hangers (no sawtooth hangers can be accepted). Maximum size for this show (including frame) is 40" x 40”. Three-dimensional work must be no taller than 15”.
All works must be appropriately identified on the back with the artist’s name and contact information, and the title of the work.
Works may be available for sale by the artist but MUST remain in the exhibit for the duration of the show. Neither the library nor its staff will have any responsibility regarding sales. If a sale is made, the artist must contact the Exhibit Committee Chair for instructions. To indicate that a piece is available for sale, mark “Available” on the registration form. No exact prices can be listed.
